Tiger Eyes, directed by Belle Phromchanya, is a short documentary that uncovers the invisible value of nature through the perspectives of frontline conservationists at Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, the largest intact seasonal tropical forest in Mainland Southeast Asia. The film highlights the human side of the Tiger Project, focusing on the delicate balance between humans and wildlife in this unique ecosystem.
Presented at the TIGER CITY exhibition during Bangkok Design Week 2020, the documentary complements the exhibition’s exploration of forest conservation and coexistence. Designers STUDIO150 and collaborators observed the lifestyles and working methods of the people at Huai Kha Khaeng, bringing their insights to life through the exhibition. Supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand, Tiger Eyes draws attention to the often-overlooked human effort behind wildlife conservation.
